Release of Service Pack 3 (SP3) for Quantitative Analysis rev. B.04.00

A new Service Pack, SP3, is available that allows MassHunter Quantitative
 Analysis Software rev. B.04.00 to run on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
 operating system.  No other new features or defect fixes are in SP3.

A new Service Pack, SP2, is available that allows MassHunter Quantitative
 Analysis Software Reporting rev. B.04.00 to run on Windows 7 Professional 64-
bit operating system with Excel 2010.  No other new features or defect fixes are in SP2.

The Service Packs are available for Agilent support personnel on the apgsup server under:

G3336-60049 (which includes both Quantitative Analysis rev. B.04.00,
 Quantitative Analysis Service Pack 3, the Pharma Service Pack, and
 Quantitative Analysis Reporting Service Pack 2) will be available from
 Agilent SubscribeNet in March 2011.

Situation: 
A new Service Pack, SP3, is available that allows MassHunter Quantitative
 Analysis Software rev. B.04.00 to run on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
 operating system.  No other new features or defect fixes are in SP3.

A new Service Pack, SP2, is available that allows MassHunter Quantitative
 Analysis Software Reporting rev. B.04.00 to run on Windows 7 Professional 64-
bit operating system with Excel 2010.  No other new features or defect fixes are in SP2.

Solution/Action: 
These Service Packs must only be applied to the Quantitative Analysis rev. 
B.04.00 software. The version is displayed in the Help--> About splashscreen. 
It will state "Version B.04.00 / Build 4.0.225.0" or "225.2" (if SP1 is
 installed) or “225.19” (if SP2 is installed).  The Quant Service Packs are
 cumulative.  Quant rev. B.04.00 SP3 contains all the fixes in Quant rev.
 B.04.00 SP1 and SP2.  

The Quant Reporting Service packs are not cumulative. Quant Reporting SP1 contains all the 
fixes for supporting Excel 2010 on Windows 7 Professional 32-bit operating system. Quant 
Reporting SP2 contains all the fixes for supporting Excel 2010 on Windows 7 Professional 64-
bit operating system.

Quant Installation

1) Shut down MassHunter Quantitative Analysis.

2) Browse to the directory, CD, or USB drive where the Service Pack file is 
located.

3) Locate the installation file, Quantitative Analysis B.04.00 SP03 x64.exe.  
Double-click on the file.

When the file is double-clicked, a window will appear with information 
regarding the installation of the Service Pack “Pharma SP” or "Pharma SP
 (x64)". Follow the instructions on the screen.

4) A command window will open to apply the Service Pack. DO NOT CLOSE THIS 
WINDOW.  The Service Pack may take up to five minutes to complete the 
installation process. Once the installation process is complete, a window will
 appear saying the Service Pack has been installed.  Click the Finish button.
  If the system has previously been qualified, the Service Pack installation
 will run an Installation Qualification Test (IQT). At the end of the test, a
 dialog named "iqtwizard" will state "IQ Completed". When you click OK, the
 dialog will open the default browser with the Installation Qualification
 Report. Print this report out and place it with any qualification materials
 that you save.

5) Start up MassHunter Quantitative Analysis and begin using it.
The version is displayed in the Help-->About splashscreen. It will 
state "Version B.04.00 / Build 4.0.225.19"

To install Quant Reporting with Excel 2010 (32-bit) for Windows 7 Professional 64-bit OS: 

1) Shut down MassHunter Quantitative Analysis and Excel.

2) Browse to the directory, CD, or USB drive where the Reporting Service Pack 
file is located.

3) Locate the installation file, Quantitative Analysis B.04.00 Reporting SP02 
x64.exe.  Double-click on the file.

4) Follow the directions on the screen.

5) Restart Quantitative Analysis and begin using it.

NOTE:  Excel 2007 is not supported with Windows 7, only with Windows XP SP3
 and Vista SP2.
